Programmes for Researchers

MCEL60091/2 Innovation and Commercialisation of Research (ICR)
A 10-week accredited programme for 3rd and 4th year PhD students to apply entrepreneurial thinking to develop a commercialisation idea based on your own area of research. Throughout this programme students will develop the skills and confidence to transfer their research knowledge to the market. In addition to this there are also follow-on sessions to support students wishing to take their idea forward.

Researcher to Innovator (R2I) Programme
This bespoke programme is designed for final-year PhD students, PDRAs and early-career researchers who have an interest in creating impact through commercialisation. Delivered by research and innovation experts, the programme runs twice a year.
The programme includes a series of interactive personal and professional development sessions which introduce the concept of commercialisation, equipping researchers with strategies to take ideas forward and discover new pathways to funding.
